FLASS inventions claim five prizes at Inventions Geneva Evaluation Days – 2022 Special Edition
Researchers, students and alumni of FLASS received international recognition at the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, bagging three silver medals and two bronze medals. These achievements are another testament to the efforts and ingenuity of our scholars in turning academic ideas into practical solutions. A start-up project led by a Doctor of Education student from another faculty also won a silver medal at the exhibition.
The annual International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva is widely recognised as one of the world’s most important knowledge and technology transfer events that showcase and highlight innovations and inventions from around the world. This year, 800 inventions were submitted by participants from more than 25 countries and regions. In March, the exhibition organiser held a special virtual event, known as the Inventions Geneva Evaluation Days – 2022 Special Edition, to announce the awards.
The five award-winning projects from FLASS are comprised of innovations ranging from artificial intelligence, neuroscience, music education and environmental chemistry to Internet-of-Things. Professor Li Wai-keung, Dean of FLASS, expressed great excitement over the remarkable results achieved by FLASS scholars. “Conducting research that enhances the well-being of humankind and promotes social changes has long been an important part of FLASS’s mission,” he said. “I am delighted to see that our scholars are making tremendous efforts to convert their research into practical solutions that improve the quality of people’s lives. I want to congratulate all the winners for a job well done, and wish them continued success in their future academic and knowledge transfer works.”
